Designing a Fully Customizable Experience

This tank atomizer was my second design made for the joint effort with Innokin in what would be called the Tiberian Vapor Company. This tank atomizer would be one of the best received pieces I made.

After designing the relatively simple Mulciber atomizer, I wanted an additional piece for the widest possible market. This tank atomizer would have both a rebuildable deck and replaceable cores for users who didn’t want to rebuild, or were interested in learning at one point in the future.

The cores for this piece included standard resistive heating coils, but also coils which could be used as thermistors to estimate the temperature of the heating chamber and thus limit the temperature to keep from burning. A compatible “mod” or battery would have to be used, but one was just around the pipe.

To this day, many years later, I am most proud of this early design. So many variables had to be controlled (liquid flow, airflow, maintaining a vacuum, convenience of refilling, changeable bases) and they all came together for a relatively successful product. In Italy, this had generated a cult following as the atomizer of the season in 2017.

There are many things I wish I had done differently for this project, but the design of this piece is nowhere on that list.
