There have been significant updates in the CAD scene in the last few years, and I have been fortunate enough to help Team Malice navigate them.

I have helped the team transition to a SOLIDWORKS Makers Offer which integrates our PDM into a web-based back end to ensure that everyone is contributing to and examining the same version at all times.

Additionally, I have been able to help modify the bot to reduce costs. Virtually every single bot on the TV show costs in the five figures to make, so every cent counts when they’re being designed to essentially be destroyed in 3 minutes or less.

I have learned so much in the most extreme engineering environment — the Battle Box! Between the BattleBots World Championships each year and events like Robogames for the 250lb weight class, I couldn’t ask for a more thrilling and unique hobby.
